TEHRAN, June 23 (Xinhua) -- Iran's Kimia Alizadeh is eyeing the gold medal at 2017 World Taekwondo Championships, Tehran Times daily reported on Friday.


Alizadeh won a gold medal at the Nanjing 2014 Youth Olympic Games and bronze medals at the 2015 World Taekwondo Championships in Chelyabinsk Braden Holtby Jersey , Russia and 2016 Olympic Games in Rio de Janeiro respectively.


After the Olympic Games, Alizadeh underwent left ankle and knee surgery that forced her to sit out for eight months.
